I am named after a popular Communist leader in India (Jyoti Basu), but my name is uncommon in my region/state (like having a name as Hitler/Gandhi in a Western country). This always helped me as an ice-breaker in interviews.
So, in an interview, once I signed some form with left-hand and returned to the interview panel with my left-hand, one of the interviewers joked, “So you are a leftist as well as a lefty?!” - and that broke the ice quickly!
